Renee's Adoptables: Meet Chloe!

Meet Chloe!

Seven-year-old Chloe is a loving senior girl who is looking for a comfortable and cozy retirement home for her golden years. Chloe came to us in early September because her previous home developed allergies and could no longer keep her, and when she arrived she had a doggy equivalent to a torn ACL. Even injured, her wonderful personality shined through with the assistance of the pawsome behavior team, and they worked with her daily to calm her anxiety and make her feel confident and comfortable, all while she went through medical treatment! Chloe loves her treats; she even knows tricks such as sit and paw.

Now that Chloe's had her surgery for her injury, she's ready for a new leash on life! She will do best in a home where she can be the only pet because she loves attention and affection.

The family that Chloe is looking for will need to have experience with medium-sized dogs. Chloe has her calm moments but she will do best in a home where she can get exercise every day. Children over the age of ten will do great with this beautiful girl. If you're interested in spending quality time with this sweetheart, Chloe is available in Newington.

About CT Humane Society

Way back in 1881, a Hartford High School senior named Gertrude O. Lewis wanted to find a way to help animals of Connecticut. She gathered support in her community – including some of Connecticut’s most prominent citizens of the time – and that very same year, Gertrude founded the Connecticut Humane Society.

And all these years later, the work continues. CHS is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, serving thousands of pets every year. As an independent nonprofit organization, CHS does not receive any funding from the government and is not associated with any national animal welfare groups. The pets rely solely on the generosity and support of donors and volunteers.
