Valentineâs Day is coming up next week and if youâre still not sure where to celebrate with your special someone, a new report has some ideas. WalletHubâs annual list of the Best and Worst Places for Valentineâs Day has just come out.
- They compared 100 of the largest cities in the country on 25 Valentineâs Day-related metrics in four main categories: Budget, Activities, Gift Accessibility, and Weather.
- Cities were rated on everything from the average cost of a three-course dinner for two to the number of jewelry stores per capita, and the average movie ticket price.
- Based on all this and more, this yearâs best city for the love holiday is San Francisco, thanks to having the highest number of affordable restaurants and the most chocolatiers per capita.
- The cheapest city for a romantic three-course dinner for two is Fremont, California, while the most expensive is New Orleans.
- The best city for activities and gift accessibility is Miami, while Colorado Springs lands at number one for weather and Fremont wins for budget.
- San Diego is the second best city for Valentineâs Day this year, in part because it has one of the highest number of wellness and spa centers per capita in the country.
- At the bottom of the list is Hialeah, Florida, making it the worst city for the holiday, followed by Detroit and Toledo, Ohio.
