*LIST* The Worst Airlines For Customer Satisfaction

Air travel can be frustrating no matter where you are, but it may be worse for passengers on American Airlines. A new “Dissatisfaction Index” rates it as the airline most disliked by passengers around the world.

  • A study from Click Intelligence analyzes passenger reviews, Skytrax star ratings, complaint search volume, and safety or operational incidents to quantify how customers really feel about airlines worldwide.
  • American Airlines tops the list with a dissatisfaction score of 56 out of 100, and passenger reviews of just 2.9 out of 10. Its safety record doesn’t help, with 11 major failures, the highest of all carriers in the study.
  • Budget carrier Frontier Airlines comes in second, but actually has the lowest passenger rating of 2 out of 10. It was also second to last in customer satisfaction.
  • More than 30-million bags disappear every year and British Airways leads for lost luggage complaints.
