When their daughter Millie was born in 2023, doctors told Bill and Meg Longhenry of Florida she had a severe brain disorder and wouldn’t survive long. Millie defied expectations and after two months, she was sent home on hospice care. Determined to help their daughter survive, the Longhenrys sought alternative treatments and connected with Dr. Brandon Crawford at the NeuroSolution Center of Austin.
Dr. Crawford saw Millie’s potential and began a non-invasive therapy regimen, including laser light therapy, acoustic wave therapy, and primitive reflex integration. Millie began showing remarkable progress, learning to crawl, eating better, and responding to visual cues. Her parents say she now vocalizes, smiles, and uses sign language. "She's got a spunky little personality,” Dr. Crawford notes.
When the family faced having to cancel Millie’s treatment due to financial concerns, an anonymous former patient of Dr. Crawford called and offered to pay their $47-thousand medical bill. “It’s just impossible to understand that level of generosity from a stranger,” Bill says. Although Millie will require ongoing therapy and equipment, her parents are hopeful and committed, with Meg saying, “There’s not a price that I could put on her life.”
