- WalletHub just released its annual ranking of the Best Cities for College Basketball Fans, evaluating 296 U.S. cities with at least one Division 1 team.
- They consider team performance, championship wins, fan engagement, and stadium capacity to determine the top basketball hotspots.
- Once again, Los Angeles comes in at number one, thanks to its four Division 1 teams: UCLA Bruins, CSU Northridge Matadors, Loyola Marymount Lions, and USC Trojans.
- UCLA alone has 11 national championships, more than any other school in the city.
- Other standout locations include Durham, North Carolina, which tops the list for best mid-size city, and Storrs, Connecticut, home to the powerhouse UConn Huskies, ranking as the best small city for college basketball.
