The Most ANNOYING "Buzz Phrases" in the Office

Some workplaces use a lot of jargon and to communicate with your team, you may need to use their go-to business buzzwords. Even if you’re not a fan, these words and phrases can be contagious and before you know it, you may catch yourself saying, “Let’s circle back to touch base and close the loop on what’s scalable.”

Zachary Brown, an assistant professor who researches jargon at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, explains, “There are many reasons people use jargon: to communicate effectively, to show off, for fun, for belonging, to befuddle/intimidate/exclude, to legitimize themselves.”

But even though we’re all guilty of using these words and phrases at work, some of them may be really irritating to your coworkers. A survey by CV Maker of 45-hundred people reveals what they consider to be the most annoying corporate buzzwords and phrases and these are the top 10 answers.
