We spoke with Mayra Rivera about Forge City Works. It is operated inside Frog Hollow, Hartford as a social enterprise.Three businesses fund and host the training programs. Every dollar from enterprises channels back into trainee programs.
All earned revenue is reinvested into training programs. Forge City Works offers a paid 16-week training for youth 18–26, combining culinary, hospitality, retail, and professional skills. Multiple enterprises (restaurant, catering, grocery, bakeshop) provide real-life work experience and career pathways.
