Meet the CT Humane Society's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Abbey

Meet Abbey!

Adorable Abbey is a one-year-old brown and white tabby cat. She loves to be pet and is quite the snuggle bug.

CHS staff say that Abbey loves to curl up in your lap. She's a great cat to snuggle into the New Year with!

Abbey came to CHS in November from another rescue, and since then, her wonderful personality has really stood out. When she first arrived, she had a fractured pelvis, but with the dedicated care and attention of the medical team, she is now ready to continue her healing in your home. An adoption counselor will be happy to go over her care plan with you as she continues to recover.

She will do well in a home where she can be the only pet. She loves attention. For her well being, Abbey will do well as an indoor cat.

While she is very snuggly, she is very playful! She will be excellent in a home where she can get plenty of playtime. Abbey will be a pawsome match for children over the age of ten that are gentle and respectful of pets.

If you're in love with Abbey, she is available in Westport. In order to best serve pets in CHS' care and to efficiently serve the community, the Westport location is operating on an appointment-only schedule and adoptions for pets at these locations will begin online via online application. Visit CThumane.org/Status to learn more.

See more at CThumane.org/adopt, or come visit in person. CHS is an independent nonprofit organization located in Newington, Waterford, and Westport and a reduced-fee Fox Memorial Clinic for owned pets, and is not affiliated with the government or any other animal welfare organizations. CHS’ work is made possible 100% through the generosity of donors.
