Meet the Connecticut Humane Society's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Samus

Meet the Connecticut Humane Society's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Samus!

This one-year-old Great Dane Mix is ready to take on the world! One big adventure at a time.

Samus arrived in October from an overwhelmed shelter that needed support after Hurricane Helene. With the wonderful help of the Bissell Pet Foundation, she is ready to feel the love of her new family this holiday season.

CHS staff describe Samus as a high-energy pup with lots of love to give! She's like the energizer bunny but with big feet and a big body to match! She will be excellent with a family of teens and adults with high-energy, large-dog experience! Going for a walk with Samus is always a fun adventure as she is eager and excited about everything around her. While she has not had much experience living with dogs, Samus would likely enjoy sharing her home and her life with a canine companion who is also high-energy! She loves dogs that match her inquisitive energy!

Samus can live in a single-family home, with apartments and condos considered due to her larger-than-life size. The love that Samus has to give, is larger than her! She will be the best addition to your busy household and the perfect best friend for every family member.

If you're interested in spectacular Samus, she is available in Newington! See more at CThumane.org/adopt, or come visit in person. CHS is an independent nonprofit organization located in Newington, Waterford, and Westport and a reduced-fee Fox Memorial Clinic for owned pets, and is not affiliated with the government or any other animal welfare organizations. CHS’ work is made possible 100% through the generosity of donors.
