Join Native Americans from Across the Country at the Mohegan Wigwam Fest

Join Native Americans from across the country in a family-friendly day of traditional Native American crafts, foods, and dance competitions at the Mohegan Wigwam Festival at Fort Shantok on Sunday, August 18th.

This year’s Wigwam Festival will honor the Mohegan lands which offer a rich history and insight into the Tribe as a people. On these sacred lands, the Tribe doesn't just follow in the traditions, but the footsteps of their ancestors who came before them. They prioritize passing their stories and their traditions on to children and future generations of Mohegans. The Tribe is surrounded by their memories and these important sites help tell the story of their perseverance. Mohegan lands, whether part of the current Reservation or the surrounding area the Tribe's ancestors once called home, are a reminder that understanding where you came from empowers you to know where you are going. It is one of many reasons why the Tribe remains so committed to preserving these important sites on the current Reservation and beyond.

The event is free and open to the public. VISIT HERE for more information.
