Check Out Local Artists' Work Next Time You Catch a Flight at Bradley!

Bradley International Airport, in partnership with RiseUP for Arts, is displaying five murals inside the main terminal, located post security. The installation of the murals is part of the BDL Art & Music Program, which features rotating exhibits, permanent displays and musical performances in the airport.

RiseUP for Arts, which is based in Hartford, is a community initiative that supports local artists and amplifies their voices through various forms of creative expression. Since 2015, RiseUP for Arts has completed 250 murals throughout Connecticut – with BDL being the most recent location.

The murals at BDL, which were installed this month, were painted by local artists Patrick Ganino, Micaela Levesque and Chris Gann. The inspiration for the murals comes from landscapes and imagery that represents Connecticut and New England, some of which includes the shoreline, Old Wethersfield and Kent Falls State Park.
