Hartford Symphony Orchestra's Talcott Mountain Music Festival Starts 6/28

We spoke with Steve Collins, President and CEO of Hartford Symphony Orchestra (HSO), about the 2024 Talcott Mountain Music Festival set to enchant audiences at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center starting Friday, June 28th.

The Talcott Mountain Music Festival lineup begins Friday, June 28th with Aretha: A Tribute, which celebrates Aretha Franklin’s illustrious career with renditions of iconic hits including “Respect,” “Think,” and “A Natural Woman.”

Friday, July 5th is the Celebrate America! concert, led by the esteemed Hartford Symphony Orchestra music director Carolyn Kuan and accompanied by a spectacular fireworks display.

On Friday, July 12th, HSO presents The Music of the Rolling Stones with sensational performers delivering stunning renditions of Mick Jagger’s vocals through iconic songs such as “Satisfaction,” “Paint It Black,” and “Angie.” 

Landslide: A Tribute to the Music of Fleetwood Mac takes place on Friday, July 19th, paying homage to one of the greatest and most popular bands in music history. Landslide recreates the hits from yesteryear, taking fans on an electric journey through Fleetwood Mac's incredible catalog of music, including the hits from their solo-careers.

The festival concludes on Friday, July 26 with Country Hits: Songs from Nashville, featuring brand-new symphonic arrangements by Grammy-winner Jeff Tyzik. From timeless classics by Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson to chart-topping hits from contemporary stars like Dolly Parton and Kacey Musgraves, this performance promises a toe-tapping celebration of Nashville’s finest.
