iHeartWomen, Pretty Tough Presents: Basema Hamied of BIBERON

On Friday, March 8th, iHeartMedia presented an inspirational conversation with fearless women from across Connecticut in honor of International Women's Day. Hosted by iHeartMedia's Renee DiNino and Keynote Speaker, Connecticut Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, this two-hour special event celebrated the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and the importance of inclusion. This week, we will be featuring each of the fearless local women who spoke on the panel.

Basema Hamied is the founder and designer of BIBERON. A native of Connecticut and a lifelong artist, Basema took a chance on herself as a young entrepreneur in 2019 and launched BIBERON as an e-commerce brand. Over the course of the next four years, Basema built the company, leading to the opening of a brick-and-mortar store in Westfarms Mall. Her perseverance and dedication to creating a space and brand that are inclusive, welcoming, and beautiful are at the core of all she does. Guided by her love for animals, Basema created BIBERON as a cruelty-free brand that uses vegan leather. Through BIBERON, Basema works to inspire beauty through what comes from within – kindness, confidence and empowerment.
