When Porkchop first arrived, we had to make sure he wasnt a coyote or fox baby. I mean... look at this little man. He was found abandoned in MS and made his way here to CT to find his forever home!

Thankfully, he is the sweetest guy, loving to be around people and very goofy! Definitely no wild animal here except for the normal puppy antics. He is guessed to be a cattle dog mix, but truthfully, we have no idea. He is smart, treat motivated, adjusting to the snow and happily sees other dogs!! He is getting a great start in his foster home and will make a family a very lucky one!!

All of our puppies are crate-trained and learning basic puppy manners!

When he is available, he will be 8 weeks old

*Up to date on vaccines

*Dewormed

*Microchipped

*Flea Treated

*Veterinarian examined and arrived with a health certificate (this is required for interstate travel to ensure your puppy is healthy)

*Examined by our Connecticut veterinarian after arrival to ensure his health

The adoption fee is $550.00, which includes all of the above and his previous transport fee to Connecticut.

You will also receive his medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, and our emailed post-adoption packet, including training tips, nutrition information, socialization tips, pet insurance information, toys we recommend, etc.

We will have information on the food he has been eating. The supportive store where we hold our meetings carries the food, so you can purchase a bag if you wish!

The benefit of our organization is that you get to meet the puppy before you commit to adopting! We want perfect matches and happy families!

Meet Petra

Meet Petra! This stunning little girl is from a high kill shelter in MS. She traveled to CT to safety and has been in a foster home getting the best start!!

Petra is outgoing, sweet, doing wonderful with her crate manners and is smart as a whip. She is food motivated which means training her will be a breeze and she is a great balance of playful and snuggle. She loves being with her people and will gladly take residence on your lap if allowed. She is getting used to all the snow here in CT but still doing awesome in short bursts outside! Did you notice her naturally bobbed tail? She and her sister were born that way which likely means she has some Aussie in her lines!! She will make a family very happy. Apply today!!

About New England Puppy Rescue

Welcome to New England Puppy Rescue, a compassionate organization committed to saving the lives of neglected and unwanted puppies, regardless of zip code, abandoned in high-kill shelters or surrendered by owners. Our mission is clear: provide these innocent beings with the love and veterinary care they need and deserve, and secure them loving, forever homes.

At the heart of our dedication lies a focus on under-aged and orphaned puppies, where we employ our comprehensive young puppy protocol to ensure their health, well-being, and socialization for a successful start in new homes. In a world where some puppies lack a voice, a chance, or even a happy memory, New England Puppy Rescue stands as a beacon of hope to a more promising tomorrow.C

We are proud to be an integral part of our community, working collaboratively with local veterinary clinics, generous businesses, and community residents. Their support enables us to continue our mission of improving the lives of deserving puppies. New England Puppy Rescue goes beyond being just a group of dog lovers; we serve as a lifeline for those in need. Our commitment is underscored by our dedication to providing the best knowledge and care in our rescue efforts, ensuring that each puppy receives the exceptional care they deserve.

Our foster-based approach distinguishes us, as NEPR dogs eat, sleep, and live in Connecticut foster homes until they find their forever families. This model allows us to understand each puppy, fostering balanced socialization in a home setting to make optimal matches with loving homes, ensuring a lifetime of mutual affection.

Join us in our mission to save all the puppies. Together, we can make a lasting impact and give these voiceless beings the chance to create happy memories in loving homes.

New England Puppy Rescue is a 501 c 3, no-kill, all-volunteer non-profit organization.
