Meet Brandy!
- Good with dogs
- Good with children
- NOT Good with cats
Meet beautiful Brandy! This sweet girl is a three year old rat terrier/chihuahua mix. She is fully grown at 19 pounds. Brandy is looking for a forever family that will shower her with the love and affection she craves.
Brandy has a high energy level. She enjoys playing with other dogs and would be a great adventuring partner. If you are looking for a hiking buddy, Brandy may be your perfect match!
Brandy gets along with other dogs and children. She would be a great addition to a family that already has a playmate in residence, be they canine or human! Brandy would do best in a home without cats.
Brandy is working on house and crate training. She has mastered leash training and is ready for her first adventure with her new family! She loves toys, which will be great training tools to help her tackle her house and crate training skills.

About Dog Star Rescue
Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.
All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page.
