Meet Bonded Pair - Harlin & Helga
Hello there! If you are looking for a bonded, adorable duo to fill your life with love and affection, please read the following.
My name is Harlin. I am a handsome fellow with a sleek, shiny black coat, satin white belly, and dapper white legs and paws. I want pets almost more than my dinner. Just approach me and I am ready for a head rub or a roll on the floor with feet in the air, waiting for you to grab a back leg and rock me gently from side to side. My sister and I are kept in the back room and when our foster mom heads for the door to leave, I follow, grab for her pant leg, and she lovingly obliges me with one more pet.
My name is Helga. I am a beautiful feline with a gorgeous long-haired gray and white coat. I adore chin rubs, but belly rubs are my favorite! I roll on my back, turning from side to side with sheer enjoyment. Neck rubs are most welcome, and I am in heaven when showered with cuddles. My foster mom pats the loveseat, and I'm on my way for blissful attention.
We enjoyed love and affection in the past but for reasons unknown, we found ourselves out on the street, left to fend on our own for our very existence. Life was hard, we were hungry, cold, and ill. Helga came down with calisi virus and Harlin had lost his right eye. Thankfully we were eventually rescued, but were completely traumatized by our time on the street. We were wild with fear and responded by hissing, spitting, and striking out with a paw to any attempt of kindness. Our foster mom and dad did not try to touch us and patiently just let us be. It took a long time for us to once again enjoy human touch. Our foster parents take good care of us. We have fresh water, food, treats, lots of toys and a wonderful cat tree, but we are waiting and yearning for more pets and cuddles than our foster parents can provide. There is competition for attention, and we must share our foster parents with all the others. Sadly, we are neglected.
Our veterinarian says that, with our calisi history, it's best to be in a home with no other felines since it's possible for us to spread the virus, even if their vaccines are up to date. We are the sweetest ever, a bonded pair, longing for love, affection and a home of our own.
Harlin and Helga were born around July 12, 2020. They are currently being fostered in Woodbury. They are fixed, have had their rabies and first distemper shots, are microchipped and tested neg for FIV/FeLV*
All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Application for adoption can be found HERE
