There is magic and mystery to experience when it comes to the daily adventures of puppyhood. Watching a youngster pup grow up is pretty amazing and Bubblegum along with his littermates are embarking on a journey that will take them straight into the hearts and lives of their forever family. The adventures are unlimited as well as the joy on their company.
Bubblegum is a sweet little boy at 6 weeks old, who is a labrador Retriever/hound mix and weighs a petite 7 pounds. With lots of growth spurts ahead, it is estimated that Bubblegum will be a large size dog ranging anywhere from 50 pounds and up.
The fun will never end when you have Bubblegum ready to partake on all the fun and games made available to him. Spreading that joy is what Bubblegum is all about. He will gladly welcome other dogs, children and even cats to be his friend. Bubblegum knows how to spread cheer and there is no shortage of it. Running, tumbling, and exploring are all in his future and his family will experience the adventure along with him.
There are, of course, some objectives to obtain when establishing oneself as a house dog. With that in mind, Bubblegum is ready, willing and able to jump right into learning his house, crate and leash training. He knows that he will have the support of his forever family to help him make the adjustment from amateur to professional with their loving support.
As with all puppies, Bubblegum is full of curiosity and wonderment, and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. He will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize him so that he can become the perfect lifelong companion.
You cannot go wrong with having a sweetheart of a boy like Bubblegum as part of your family. The days will go by fast and there will be many stories to tell as Bubblegum settles into being the ultimate canine companion. He is ready to spread the love, smiles and laughter that will last many years to come.
The adoption fee for Bubblegum is $600. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.

About Dog Star Rescue:
Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date, we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.
All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page.
Dog Star Rescue, Inc. is a grass-roots effort started by a group of dog lovers with experience in the rescue world. What’s the meaning behind our name?
The name Dog Star comes from the common name for the star Sirius, reflecting its prominence in its constellation, Canis Major (Greater Dog). The symbolism of the star as a guide to a safe passage is what we strive to do for our adoptable dogs as we find them a new life with a loving family.
