Renee's Adoptables: Meet Bean!

  • Good with dogs
  • Good with children

Is this sweet girl Bean not the sweetest bean you ever did, see? Bean is a 9-month-old hound mix with a beautiful, shiny brindle coat. She currently weighs 45 lbs., but she still has some growing to do. She is likely to be a large dog (50 lbs.) when fully grown.

Bean is an absolute doll. She was brought to our partner rescue in Mississippi from a high kill shelter. Bean is so grateful for the opportunity to live a happy, long life!

Bean is incredibly sweet and affectionate and loves people and other dogs. She would be a great snuggle buddy and would love to give you a hug! With medium energy, she would be down for cuddles or outdoor adventures. She gets along well with kids too! However, she has not yet had a chance to meet a cat.

Bean is working hard on her training, including leash, crate, and house training. She is working on growing from a playful, curious puppy into a wonderful canine companion, and the support of her family will go a long way in helping her get there. Patience and consistency are key. The perfect family for Bean will have the time, desire, and energy to continue to train and socialize her so that she can become the best pup she can be.

Be the best and bring Bean home!

The adoption fee for Bean is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.

To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today.

ABOUT DOG STAR RESCUE

Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford CT area. We work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row. Our team of wonderful volunteers get these adoptable dogs the medical and emotional care they need so they can transition into a loving forever home. To date we’ve placed over 4,000 dogs with new families.

All of our amazing volunteers are unpaid and donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. They spend significant time each week helping guide dogs to a wonderful new life. If you ask our volunteers, they’ll tell you they do it for a wide variety of reasons, including personal satisfaction in helping address a nationwide problem, their love of dogs, and a desire to have fun socializing with like-minded people. Dog Star is always looking for new volunteers to join our group, so if you would like to be a part of our organization, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities page
