Back the Blue; A Ride for Remembrance

Join us as The Hometown Foundation and Yankee Harley-Davidson host Back the Blue: A Ride for Remembrance on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in honor of fallen heroes, Lt Dustin DeMonte and Sgt Alex Hamzy of the Bristol Police Department and Det Robert "Bobby" Garten of the Hartford Police Department.

Back the Blue: A Ride for Remembrance

Join us as The Hometown Foundation and Yankee Harley-Davidson host Back the Blue: A Ride for Remembrance on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in honor of fallen heroes, Lieutenant Dustin DeMonte and Sergeant Alex Hamzy of the Bristol Police Department and Detective Robert "Bobby" Garten of the Hartford Police Department. 

The day will include a motorcycle poker run, car display, food and beverage trucks, and a ceremony of remembrance. The event is open to the community. Come out and Back the Blue!

Motorcycle Poker Run: Registration for the poker run will take place between 10 and 11 a.m. at the Connecticut Law Enforcement Memorial in Meriden. The poker run will conclude at Farmington Polo Club where bikers will draw their last card before winners are announced at 1:30 p.m. Additional stops will be announced.

Car Show & Remembrance Ceremony: The grounds of the Farmington Polo Club will open to the public at 11 a.m. Please enter through Gate A. There will be a car display, music, and food and beverage trucks. The event is open to the public. 

There will be a ceremony of remembrance at 1 p.m. before the event's conclusion at 2 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Hometown Foundation's emergency response pillar, which supports the families of the fallen heroes, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, and the Main Street Community Foundation's memorial in Bristol.
