After the rousing success of last year’s inaugural The Witch of Blackbird Pond Ball, it was determined almost immediately to make it an annual event. This year, iHeartMedia’s Director of Community Affairs & Community Programming and Wethersfield native Renee DiNino returns to the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield) as mistress of ceremonies, keeping the festivities rolling all night long. A professional DJ will provide the evening’s soundtrack, guaranteed to get you up and dancing, with more than a passing nod to some Halloween classics. The Vintage Dance Society is back to provide inspiration on the dance floor and show us all how it’s done. Ascot Catering will be back with their delectable hors d’oeuvres, as will uniquely crafted libations created specifically for this event. The desserts will be truly magical.
In a new twist, Summer Orlando Productions makes their Witch of Blackbird Pond Ball debut, showcasing some “Hocus Pocus” as they bring the Sanderson Sisters to life!
Tickets for this exclusive 21-and-over event are $75 per person and will be available beginning September 1. They can be purchased online at EventBrite or in person at the Old Academy (150 Main Street, Wethersfield) Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
All proceeds from the Ball benefit Wethersfield Historical Society’s educational programming.
