Meet Arnie!
Introducing Arnie! He is a 1 year old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix and currently tips the scale at 9lbs. His big, expressive Chiweenie eyes are enough to make anyone swoon!. Arnie loves to play and is a happy, silly guy. He just can't get enough of human snuggle time though after playing with toys. Arnie came to us as an undersocialized pup, but has blossomed with our volunteers! He loves to go for long walks and to spend time outdoors. Arnie is very social with all of the dogs at the shelter and may enjoy having a small, playful canine sibling in his furever home. He may also enjoy the company of gentle, older children as well in his home (12 years of age and older) If you would like to learn more about how to make Arnie your next furry family member, please contact Beth at beth.b@poainc.org

About Protectors of Animals:
Protecting animals and preserving communities.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter and rescue. POA was formed in 1975 to rescue abandoned, abused and stray cats and dogs. Today we are one of the oldest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the northeast. POA is here to stay! You will not find a more dedicated, experienced or thorough resource for improving the lives of Connecticut cats and dogs. We confine our focus to our home state because this is where our infrastructure and resources reside, as well as our leadership.
