SO get your fair on and wear your fair food pants!!! My events this weekend have gone to the animals!!!
The Connecticut K-9 Olympics is entering its 31st year. The event is an all-day competition involving K-9 units from local police departments, CT State Police, and Department of Corrections. Teams are evaluated during a competition in an arena style setting. Areas of competition include, but are not limited to a tactical drill, obedience, obstacles, and a K9 Apprehension Drill. Money raised through the sales of apparel and food, raffles and donations, is returned to local charities. This year money raised will go to the Hometown Foundation Special Olympics and Mark-9. In addition, donations will be made to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers' charities of choice.
Teams start the competition at 9:00 AM on a rotating basis throughout the day. The competition should be completed by 2:00 PM with an awards ceremony to follow.

My movie pick of the weekend goes to “A Haunting in Venice” is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Starring Kenneth Branaugh as Agatha Christie’s Poirot and he is the director along with Tine Fey, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Dornan and more!
