Renee's Adoptables!

Name: Izzie

Breed: Pittie Mix

Age: 2-3 years old

Kids: 12+

Cats: Selective

Dogs: No

Izzie is searching for her forever home! This is one sweet little lady who just wants to be by your side and get all your love and attention. If she could curl up in your lap all day she would. Don't get us wrong, Izzie loves her walks, gets a serious case of the zoomies when she is excited, loves rolling around and getting belly rubs, and loves her car rides, but what Izzie loves most is to be with her person. Once Izzie picks her person that is the apple of her eye, and she will be glued to your side.

Izzie is between 2-3 years old and needs to be the only dog in the home. Meriden Humane Society has tested Izzie with cats and though a bit curious she could care less about them if they could care less about her.

Izzie would do best with a female owner with minimal traffic in the home as she can be a bit shy with new situations, but she's working on expanding her social network and is finding that not all humans are scary. Izzie is microchipped and will be spayed and brought up to date on her vaccinations.

Finn has a medium to high energy level, is housebroken, and has quite the unique bark when he gets excited.

MHS is seeking a home with older children as this guy can jump super high when he's excited to see you.

Finn would make a great running or hiking partner and knows all the basic commands!

Finn would prefer to be the one and only canine companion in the home as he's got a lot of love to give.

Bailey

Age: 5

Breed: Husky Mix

Size: Large 75-85 lbs

Dogs: Yes- with proper introductions

Cats: No

Kids: 12+

Meet Bailey! This handsome big guy quickly captured the hearts of MHS's entire dog team and has become one of the shelter favorites overnight! At 5 years old Bailey certainly has plenty of energy! He loves to run around chasing tennis balls, is a big fan of kicking around jolly balls and has mastered the game of ""find it""! Bailey has the basic commands down pat and loves his car rides!

Bailey is super loving and playful, but very strong so we are seeking a family with older children and a fenced in yard where Bailey can exert all his energy. Bailey is working on his leash manners as he tends to pull and jump when he gets excited, but he's been working very hard on becoming the perfect gentleman and is currently enrolled in training classes at Our Companions.

Other dogs? Yes! Bailey grew up with them! Slow introductions are a must as Bailey's size can be a bit intimidating.

Bailey is UTD on his shots, micro-chipped and neutered.

Bailey is available for adoption at the Meriden Humane Society.

About Meriden Humane Society:

Founded in 1893, the Meriden Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter and rescue facility. Many of our animals are taken from high-risk situations or surrendered by private citizens who are no longer able to care for their animals.

Our organization is privately run and operated. We are supported by patrons and residents who donate to our facility. Contrary to popular belief, we are not affiliated with the Connecticut Humane Society. Without the help we receive from the citizens of our community and surrounding communities, we would not be able to save all the animals that we do.
