The 31st Annual K9 Olympics!

Today we spoke with Officer Kristen Brousseau, Department of Corrections, Officer Michael Rhodes, UConn Police Department, Captain Josh Trifone, Department of Corrections, and special guest K9 Tango about the upcoming 31st Annual K9 Olympics that will be taking place Saturday, September 16th 2023!

The event is an all-day competition involving K-9 units from local police departments, CT State Police, and Department of Corrections. Teams are evaluated during a competition in an arena style setting. Areas of competition include, but are not limited to a tactical drill, obedience, obstacles, and a K9 Apprehension Drill

The officers talk about their K9 companions winning the Olympics and what the event means to them!

This event is free and all are encouraged to attend!
