Introducing Bambi! She is a 9 month old Corgi/Chihuahua mix. She currently weighs 8lbs and will likely top out at 9-10lbs fully grown. Bambi loves to play and is a happy, silly puppy. She just can't get enough of her hooman snuggle time though after playing with toys. Bambi came to us as an undersocialized puppy, but has blossomed over the last few weeks with our volunteers! She will need a home where her adopters will be committed to providing her with lots of opportunities for socialization and helping her along with the basics of housetraining, walking on a leash, and learning her basic commands. Bambi is very interested in the small dogs at the shelter and may enjoy having a small, playful canine sibling in her furever home. She may enjoy the company of gentle, older kiddos as well in her home (10 years of age and older) If you would like to learn more about how to make Bambi your next furry family member, please contact Beth at beth.b@poainc.org.
About Protectors of Animals:
Protecting animals and preserving communities.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter and rescue. POA was formed in 1975 to rescue abandoned, abused and stray cats and dogs. Today we are one of the oldest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the northeast. POA is here to stay! You will not find a more dedicated, experienced or thorough resource for improving the lives of Connecticut cats and dogs. We confine our focus to our home state because this is where our infrastructure and resources reside, as well as our leadership.
