Meet Cassie, She's ICONIC!

Cassie is one of our “One & Only Cats” One does not need to be the loneliest number. Adopters with approved applications will be able make an appointment to meet all of our available cats. You must have an appointment, but you do not need to choose a specific cat.

Meet one-year-old Cassie, a rare hybrid species. She is part domestic housecat and part adventurous mountain goat.  If you’ve never heard of this species, you may want to see her for yourself.

Cassie’s domestic housecat roots make her a sweet, affectionate fur baby. She loves being with people and getting all the belly rubs she charm out of her foster parents. She also enjoys chasing the laser toy and bird-watching from any window perch. She greets her people with the sweetest kitty kisses. In fact, Cassie is so sweet that her foster dad said, “If she was any sweeter, I’d need insulin.”

But the mountain goat part of Cassie is a whole different animal: adventurous, carefree and uninhibited. She bounces up the staircase as though she is leaping from cliff to cliff. And when her foster parents lean over the bathroom sink to brush their teeth or wash their face, she jumps onto the counter top and then to the back of their shoulders with true mountain goat speed and agility. She also likes to explore every nook and cranny in her foster home, or is that every crevice in the side of a mountain?

Cassie is a petite cutie who loves all people but is sadly not a fan of other cats. She is spayed, vaccinated, vet checked, and ready to live in your mountain home, or any home where she can love – and climb onto - her new person or people.

To find out more about Cassie or to make a special appointment to meet her, please fill out the application at www.poainc.org. If you already have an approved application, you can e-mail poaplacement@gmail.com. And, as always, please consider spreading the word about Cassie.

Adoptions are now done by appointment only. Email poaplacement@gmail.com for more info and an appointment.
