Pearl and Peabody have made their way to Connecticut to New England Puppy Rescue after they landed in a high kill shelter in Mississippi because they are Deaf.
They are most likely a product of a double Merle breeding, which often produces solid white puppies that are either deaf or blind. It’s not uncommon for puppies like this to get tossed away. We heard about these two and knew they deserved a chance at a loving home!!
Thankfully, Pearl, and Peabody have no idea what they’re missing. Being born deaf means, they don’t know life any different. And, let us tell you how incredibly capable these two are. They are extremely social, love other dogs, love all people and sleep very soundly. I guess that’s one of the perks of not having hearing. They are already doing extremely well being trained with treats and with a few alterations in how people traditionally train a dog, they are a normal puppy. A family that is willing to put the work in with either one of these puppies will be rewarded with an incredible member of the family.
