Listen below as they discuss the work The Exchange Club of Waterbury has done and how the Annual Dr. Lawrence Shae Banquet Awards honors the community!
The Exchange Club of Waterbury is hosting our Annual Dr. Lawrence Shea Banquet Awards. We typically donate around $25k into our community all from a grassroots fundraising perspective. Tickets to the event are $50, and it’s going to be at La Bella Vista in Waterbury on March 29th, 2023. The Exchange Club’s mission to help prevent child abuse, so all the awardees and scholarships are directly related to that mission. We’ll be honoring the following:
- Blue Ribbon/Child Abuse Prevention Award
- Book of Golden Deeds Award
- Waterbury Fire Department Firefighter of the year
- Waterbury Police Department Officer of the year
- A.C.E. Award and Scholarship
- Youth of the Year Scholarship
- Dr. Lawerence Shea Scholarship
- We also distribute about a dozen non-profit donations that evening as well.
Tickets can be purchased online via the Exchange Club website.
