Hello! My name is Adonis, and here's my story - I was on the lam for months in the wintertime and several rescuers tried to trap me. Of course, I was very suspicious since I did not know of their intentions, and I managed to avoid them all. But the snows came, it was cold, and I was getting weary. Rescuers continued to provide food and water, but often by the time I arrived at the feeding station, the racoons had already been there and dined. Between them and the weather, there was not much to eat. I managed to survive the winter and in the spring, as I was waiting at the feeding station, this nice lady arrived with provisions. I looked at her and she at me and I made a choice. I did not run. This was the day. She bent down and stroked my back and it felt good. She returned to her car, then placed a carrier in front of me and I climbed in, and this turned out to be a great decision. After taking a long look at me, she named me Adonis, which I find most appropriate since it means a very handsome young man.
I am now warm and safe in a foster home where I am loved and well cared for. It's been a while, my foster parents have brought home other rescues, and now I must share my surroundings. I would much prefer to be the only cat in the house where I can get all the attention.
If you are interested in adopting me, the following is what I can do for you:
- I will watch TV with you while resting on your lap.
- I will be happy to assist you while you are preparing dinner.
- I will entertain myself by chasing toys all over the room.
- I will be delighted to spend the afternoon snoozing on top of a cat tree.
- I will be available for a cuddle, just call out to me and I will come to your arms.
- I am an energetic, active, playful, and a loving feline looking for someone to care for me. If you are looking for a companion and someone to love, please make your choice be me!!
