My friends from Hartford 311 posted the following:
We are providing $10 million to assist Connecticut residential customers with their electric bills this winter season as part of the Customer Relief Plan announced by Governor Ned Lamont in November 2022.
Residential electric customers are eligible to receive a one-time, $500 bill credit if their household income is between 60% and 100% of the state median income.
Potentially eligible customers are receiving a pre-recorded phone message or email from Governor Lamont and Eversource – this is not a scam.
This assistance is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.
If you believe you meet the income requirements and have not received a call or email, please contact us at 844-207-0127 to see if you qualify for this or other assistance programs. We're available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
If your household income is at or below 60% of the state median income, you may qualify for other programs to help pay your bill, including the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program, which provides a basic benefit of $250 towards your heating bill.
