Meet Dolce
Dolce is a 2-year-old Newfoundland / Saint Bernard mix. She’s lived her life as a puppy mill momma and was just recently turned over to rescue. So far in foster, she has proven herself to be about as perfect as they come! She’s good with all people she meets of any age and size, good with other dogs & cats, and has embraced the simple pleasures of watching Netflix on the sofa. She even got to attend her first birthday party for her Newfoundland foster sister and can’t wait to celebrate her adoption in a similar fashion. Dolce is getting spayed soon and once that’s done she’ll be ready for adoption into a home that will treat her as the treasured princess she is.
Meet Loki
This handsome fella is Loki, a 2-year-old Newfoundland / Aussie mix. We can thank his Aussie heritage for his unique and stunning looks! Loki was recently busted out of a puppy mill where he was born and had been used for breeding. Several months back, we pulled Loki’s momma from the same mill, so we were super thrilled to be able to get this boy as well. Loki is extremely sweet, wiggly, and affectionate. He’s also a major fan of stuffed animals and has quickly learned how to tip over the toy basket in his foster home so he can get to all the toys at once. He’s looking for a home where he can continue to learn what it means to be a happy, loved house dog. He’s good with other dogs and people but unknown with cats.
About National Newfoundland Rescue Inc:
National Newfoundland Rescue Inc. was founded by a group of Newfoundland Rescue volunteers with a combined total of over 60 years of rescue experience. After working with breed club and other rescues for many years, it became apparent that there were still holes in the rescue community that needed to be filled, primarily in the areas where they don’t have a local Breed Club Rescue, or in cases where there is a Newfoundland Mix in need (most of the regional clubs only accept purebred Newfoundlands). With this in mind, National Newfoundland Rescue was born!
