Cedar Would Make A Wonder Addition To Your Family.

Meet Cedar:

This handsome pup arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society about 5 months ago - so he has been waiting for a furever home for quite some time. Cedar is a 4-year-old hound mix who absolutely loves smelling new smells and going on fun new adventures! And when it's time for resting up, he enjoys a good cuddle with the people he is with. Cedar is sometimes under the impression he is a lap dog, even though he is about 50 lbs. That's not too heavy though! This bouncy boy would really appreciate going to a home where there's another active dog he can play with. Cedar is smart, and ready to get plenty of mental and physical exercise every single day with an equally active family. He's going to make a wonderful new pet for someone - hopefully very soon!

About CT Humane Society:

Way back in 1881, a Hartford High School senior named Gertrude O. Lewis wanted to find a way to help the animals of Connecticut. She gathered support in her community – including some of Connecticut’s most prominent citizens of the time – and that very same year, Gertrude founded the Connecticut Humane Society.

And all these years later, the work continues. CHS is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, serving thousands of pets every year. As an independent nonprofit organization, CHS does not receive any funding from the government and is not associated with any national animal welfare groups. The pets rely solely on the generosity and support of donors and volunteers.
