Meet Mr. Toad, He Loves Cuddling with Other Pups

Meet Mr. Toad

Age: 1 year

Breed: Pitbull Terrier

Sex: Male

He is a 1-year-old Pitbull Terrier who weighs 35 lbs - the perfect pocket Pittie! Mr. Toad was found abandoned, tied up in a public area by Animal Control, and severely underweight. He has gained 10 lbs and is now full of P and V, looking for his furever home!

Mr. Toad is currently in a foster home and we have learned quite a bit about him. He loves other dogs and would be so happy to "Pittie Pile" or "Doggy Pile" with others in his furever home. He is crate trained but is much happier to be home with his humans as much as possible. Dog-savvy cats are totally okay (he likes to try to be friends with them and play with them all of the time lol). Kids 6 years of age and older are fine in his book (he LOVES his 9-year-old foster human).

Mr. Toad is a medium-energy boy. He loves to romp in the yard, go for walks/hikes, and be busy, but at the end of the day, he is a total Netflix/Apple TV-watching champion!

For more information about how to make Mr. Toad your next 4-legged family member, please contact Michelle at michelle.p@poainc.org and please complete an adoption application ASAP here!

About Protectors of Animals

Protecting animals and preserving communities.

We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 no-kill animal shelter and rescue. POA was formed in 1975 to rescue abandoned, abused and stray cats and dogs. Today we are one of the oldest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the northeast. POA is here to stay! You will not find a more dedicated, experienced or thorough resource for improving the lives of Connecticut cats and dogs. We confine our focus to our home state because this is where our infrastructure and resources reside, as well as our leadership.
