Weekends in Connecticut

This is the weekend of Halloween FUN There are scary movies, haunted hayrides, houses and scary trails, country fairs and you don’t want to miss them! Be sure to follow me on FB and IG to get connected!!! One fun experience is the haunted Cemetery Tours of West Hartford! Your ghostly guide leads you on a lantern-lit tour of Old North Cemetery where you experience tales of death, disease, and real history. Due to some scary content, it is suggested that participants be age 10 or over. This event sells out, so book now! We hope to see you among the graves. The lantern-lit tours take place on October 28 & 29 at Old North Cemetery, 80 North Main Street, West Hartford, Connecticut. Tours leave every 15 minutes starting at 6 p.m and run for 45 minutes. Friday night iHeartCommunities is proud to present CT’s own Nashville recording artist Jordan Oaks at the Cadillac Ranch, New England's premier Nashville showcase. On Friday, October 28th, this special show will be in honor of the Bristol Police Department's fallen officers and 50% of the proceeds will go to the funds set up by Bristol PD. He will be performing his ode to law enforcement; 'HE BLEEDS BLUE'  at 9 pm and again as his last song. Doors open at 6 pm with special fundraising all night. Saturday I will be honored to be your mistress and I’m dressed as Kitt from the book The Witch of Blackbird Pond as she might have been dressed when she arrived to Wethersfield via Barbados! In a nod to local author Elizabeth George Speare’s Newbery Award-winning novel, Wethersfield Historical Society presents The Witch of Blackbird Pond Ball. Saturday, October 29 from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm, join the society and your friends and neighbors in the elegant ballroom of the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center (200 Main Street, Wethersfield). The Keeney Ballroom will be arrayed in seasonal finery designed to complement the eerie late-October atmosphere by Circa Antiques & Collectibles’ Melinda Robidoux. (Special spooky effects are planned for the ballroom that will be revealed for the first time at this unique event). Attendees are encouraged to come in period dress (17th century) or the era of your choice. Those who do so will be automatically entered in the costume contest.
