NorcomCT is hosting First Responders Night at the Hartford Yard Goats this coming Tuesday, July 26th and will honor first responders from across Connecticut and Southern New England; remember those who perished in 2022 in the Line of Duty; will have special recognition for two Connecticut Police Officers for acts of heroism and Military Service Recognition for a Connecticut Dispatcher. Any media coverage in further support of Connecticut’s First Responder community would be appreciated.
On July 26th the Hartford yard Goats will be taking on the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05pm. This game has been sponsored by Norcom and has been dubbed “First Responders Night”.
Norcom has secured over 1600 seats for this game which have been distributed to first responders throughout Connecticut. Pregame ceremonies begin at 6:35 and will include:
• Massive flag ceremony in which over 250 attendees will unfurl a huge flag in center field during the National Anthem
• Three police and fire honor guards will take the field
• A moment of silence for all first responders who have perished in the line of duty this past year
• Two police officers will sing the National Anthem and America the Beautiful
• A public safety dispatcher from Newtown will be recognized for his military service
• And in the 3rd inning two Police Officers from Naugatuck and Farmington will be recognized for their acts of heroism.
