Meet Cricket!
Cricket is a spunky, gorgeous, petite, FLUFFY 2-year-old girl with a big tail and an even bigger personality. Her soft pewter fur has almost purple and pink highlights and begs to be caressed. Her golden eyes show depths of intelligence, and you can tell that she wants things on her terms. She loves to be the center of attention, happily playing with toys or with the water in the sink.
Cricket has made a ton of progress, slowly changing from a very angry and unhappy cat into a strong and confident girl who loves to play. But Cricket is still a work in progress. Cricket wants to be around people, especially her favorite volunteers, but she still strikes out as often as she allows petting. Cricket came to us when her owner moved and decided not to take her, and she isn’t ready to forgive the human race quite yet. Cricket doesn’t wear her heart on her paw and will need someone who understands that and is willing to work to earn Cricket’s trust. She loves to entice you by rolling around belly up, and when you approach she will give you a sassy hiss. Cricket will be a great, fun companion for an experienced cat lover that can pick up on her cues.
Cricket knows that she is someone extraordinary and deserves a special home with all the love in the world. She could would also love to be the only kitty in the household, as she can be aggressive with other felines who don’t respect her space. Cricket is looking for a special person…, one who will provide her the star treatment and pampering she so richly deserves, and who will slowly work with her on trust. It will take time. But in the meantime, this lovely kitty will steal your heart while also stealing the show!
