Calling all big dog lovers! You have to meet sweet lovable Eli. Abandoned by his owner, he and his sister Ellie were rescued and have been living in foster and kennel care since. He is 5 years old and weighs about 72 pounds. He is a shepherd mix with a medium to long coat. Another positive about Eli is that he is house, crate, and leash trained. Of course, even trained dogs can have occasional accidents as they adjust to a new routine and a new home. Eli is not a high-energy dog, so walks and free time in the backyard will suit him just fine. He has not lost his confidence even though he was abandoned, so that is a plus, too. With his mellow personality and friendliness, he is well suited to be around adults and kids. Another positive is that he is comfortable with cats, and obviously, other dogs, as Ellie was his best friend. So, Eli deserves a second chance at a forever home.
