On March 23rd 2022, students at the University of Connecticut will come together to accomplish a great feat: raise $250,000 in 24 hours for Connecticut Children’s.
On Day Of Strength, participants are challenged to individually raise a minimum of $117 in honor of the more than 117,000 patients treated at Connecticut Children’s in 2021. The funds raised on Day Of Strength will be put towards HuskyTHON’s year long total, which will be revealed at HuskyTHON 2022 on April 2nd. Last year on Day Of Strength, the HuskyTHON community surpassed their goal of raising $200,000 in one day. This accomplishment contributed to the record breaking HuskyTHON 2021 fundraising total of $1,052,534.21!
This year, HuskyTHON is using our 2022 campaign, “By Their Side,” to prove to the patients at Connecticut Children’s that they have an entire community of students and donors to lean on during their battle with childhood illness. By Their Side, we can help kids put their challenges behind them, and watch as they grow to be our future leaders, doctors, and teachers. By fighting by their side now, and reaching our Day Of Strength fundraising goal of $250,000, we can give kids the chance to one day stand on their own.
HuskyTHON brings together the entire UConn community, however, they would not be able to accomplish their goals without the support from the State of Connecticut and beyond!
There is strength in numbers. No single person can do it alone. Every donation, no matter the size, contributes to the mission of fighting By Their Side as kids battle childhood illness.
Online donations can be made by visiting the HuskyTHON website, https://huskython.org/ and clicking on the ‘Donate’ button, or by texting “UConn” to 51-555
