Copper is ready to settle into a new home and a comfy couch! He arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society a few months ago after a fire and needed treatment for heartworm. The 5-year-old pooch completed his treatment thanks to CHS’ staff medical team and is ready for a fresh start! Copper has the longest legs and would enjoy lots of walks and hikes with his new humans.
Once he’s had his exercise, he appreciates some time to lounge around. He should be good with kids of any age and would like to live with another dog. He hasn’t had experience with cats, but may be okay with them as well. A home with hound experience would also be a plus.
