Renee's Adoptable Pet Picks & Lost N' Found Pound!
About a month ago we took in 7 cats/kittens from a hoarding situation in Hartford. Everyone is doing good, understandably decompressing and 4 of them are kittens and have some ear/eye issues we are tending to. However little Oliver-Boulet here is quite the trooper and has been doing GREAT in his foster home. He has been snap tested, vaccinated and was neutered earlier this week. Oliver was a bit shy upon intake, understandably so. But he has made such great strides in his foster home! He can be a bit shy at first meeting, but warms up quickly and has been such a sweetheart! Oliver is just under a year old and he would love to find a forever home! Please email email@example.com if you are interested. Oliver is being fostered in South Windsor, CT. His adoption fee is $85. Please share! **Please be advised the white kitten in two of these pictures is not available for adoption*

This precious pup is now done with all of his medical procedures and ready to find his forever family. They're going to have to be super special because he is a really special dog. Corbett is a 3 year old dachshund mix who was brought to a high kill shelter in a cardboard box with his back legs paralyzed. Unfortunately his neurologist said that there is not a surgical correction for his legs, and we will never know what happened to him, but we do know that he is pure sweetness. He doesn't let his disability get in his way at all.
Corbett is always happy and loves everyone he meets. He gets around just fine with his drag bag and he even has a set of wheels that he's getting the hang of! He has no feeling on his lower half, so he's not in any pain. During his time in foster, he's started to stand briefly on his own at times, and some dogs have been successful in using these reflexes to learn to walk again. We don't know if that will be the case for Corbett, but we wold certainly not want to give up hope. He will need a family who is committed to helping him with his daily needs and previous experience with special needs dogs would be a plus.
But MIDNIGHT is still struggling in the kennel, which is awful for him. He's simply not getting the shares he needs to find a home! And he needs to find a home.CAN WE DO SOME REALLY SERIOUS SHARING FOR HIM TODAY? PLEASE?Midnight is an active, 2 yr old, male, Pit Bull type who needs an owner who will continue his obedience training. He would do best in a fenced yard where he can run and play safely. (Sadly, in his last home he wasn’t trained well to the invisible fence type system and would often escape so this type of yard may not be in his best interest.) He is strong and will need a strong owner — but but he sure would love to go HOME! JUST LOOK AT HIS TAIL IN THAT PHOTO! HE LOOKS SO HAPPY TO BE OUT — EVEN IF IT'S JUST TO HAVE HIS PICTURE TAKEN ! <3If you have questions or would like to meet this fella , please call the Tolland Animal Shelter!118 Old Post Rd Tolland, Connecticut 860-871-3676
Ozzie (pictured above) is now available for adoption! He is a 5 to 6 year old shih tzu. He has been completely vetted. Oz made his debut on the news when he was causing some traffic mayhem by running down 91 in Hartford. He was on the lam for a couple of days before he was finally caught in East Hartford. When no one came forward for him we took him into our care. He had a laceration on his upper palate which we had all fixed up. He is now in a foster home and is doing great! He is a very loving and sweet and affectionate boy. He is NOT good with cats, he is good with dogs. If you are interested in Ozzie please email us at email@example.com. His adoption fee is $250. He is being fostered in the Hartford area.

Interested adopters email Renee DiNino: firstname.lastname@example.org
Pets name: Dallas
Age: approximately 9 months
Color: Brown with white chest and white paws
Dallas is very lovable and enjoys snuggling. She loves to walk and play fetch. She’s been trained on the basic commands, sit, stay, and down. She thrives when she has exercise. She’s very good meeting new people but tends to become a bit excited. She’s very playful. She’s the only pet in my home but has been introduced to other dogs.
The ideal home for Dallas would be one where she gets a lot of attention, exercise (a place to run) and is with someone who has the time to train her.
Another sad return....Ladybug. We would like to say if you commit to adopting a dog that means forever! Ladybug was returned because her owner was moving ( even though she was just adopted a couple of months ago) and she could not take her where she was going. But Poor Ladybug doesn't understand this and she is sad and depressed and hurting herself in the kennel. Ladybug is 10-11 months old and she is now considered URGENT because of how sad she is. Ladybug is a beautiful blue eyed beauty that desperately needs a forever home. She would prefer to live without other dogs and she is a higher energy dog so she would like to go for walks and play quite a bit. Ladybug has played with other dogs and she is a ruff and tumble player so she would be fine walking with other dogs but probably would be better not going to dog parks. Meriden, CT ~ Hi my name is Eejay , I am 4 yrs old and my birthday is on March 16th. I am a Siberian husky.
I love being around people of all ages and love making new friends, I’m pretty tall so all my friends are smaller than me but I don’t mind at all. I have been going to daycare since I was a young pup and I have met so many different friends and enjoy that very much. On the weekends I like to go to the dog park and play all day. I love dogs (cats not so much).
My favorite thing to do is go running. I can run for miles but my owner usually can only lasts about two miles...I walk him an extra few miles more though 😁. Sometimes we go on hikes and I get to play in the water. Because I am Husky, I love the snow and cold just as much.
When I am home I love to play with my rope. Sometimes I just chew it or I like to play tug of war...I’m always the winner! I have lots of toys but the rope is definitely my favorite. I don’t like to be in a crate, I will howl and wine really loud until you let me out...other then that I’m not that vocal and I usually just hang out around the house. Sometimes at night I like to sneak out of my bed and sleep with you .
I eat blue wilderness chicken flavor, it’s so good, and some of my favorite snacks are carrots and ice cubes...once in awhile I’ll get a bone.
I do not like baths that much which is weird because I love water, so I usually wine the whole time I’m in the bath. I like being brushed, it’s so relaxing .
I am super smart and have been told I am funny because I do a lot of human like things. I’m super playful and always have energy to run or play.I am neutered and will be getting my updated shots soon. I adore my dad but he's going through some stuff right now and feels that I am not getting all that I deserve. I will miss him but I am hoping I can find someone else that can love me just as much as he does. ❤️

This little boy is available thru the Town of Woodbury. We thought he had a home but the woman tearfully told me she couldn’t work with him to stop his leg lifting. He just turned three and we had him neutered and microchipped this week. With a bit of training he will be a wonderful addition to a family.

Due to life, a new baby & past workWith a trainer these darling duo are not adjusting to the new little one in the home & her activity level. The family is heartbroken over this tough decision but it’s been decided rehoming these two is best for all. Current owners ideally would like to rehome the dogs to someone local to South Norwalk so they can visit frequently. The rescue is assisting in placing the pups. They have not met the pups.
Meet Eule! Eule (darker coat) (pronounced Oy-la, which is German for “Owl”) is an almost five year old shih tzu - yorkie (shorkie) mix. She is a calm, sweet dog who loves to play with squeaky toys, cuddling up in a chair, and getting gentle belly rubs. Eule is an armchair puppy: she loves sitting with you while you read and being a comfortable presence in your home, and is relatively low energy. She is house broken and knows basic commands.
Say hello to Eira! Eira ( lighter cost) (pronounced I-rah, Welsh for “Snow”) is a seven year old Maltese - poodle (maltipoo) mix. Eira is an incredibly intelligent, sweet, but slightly aloof pooch. She loves nothing better than curling up on a pillow in the sun, and receiving frequent belly rubs. She is quite low energy, though she enjoys the occasional wild frolic outside. Eira is house broken and knows basic commands.
Both are around 10lb, though Eira could probably stand to lose one or two lbs. They are pack mates, and ideally would not be separated. They would do best in a home with all adults or older children.
Both are spayed & up to date with vaccines. If interested email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Saffron Sally is available for adoption! She was found in Hartford with an injury to her back paw. She is doing wonderful and has settled nicely into her foster home. She is about a year old and has been spayed, vaccinated, and snap tested negative. Sally is a very sweet and calm petite girl. She loves her pets and she loves to curl up and cuddle with you. She is a mellow cat and would make a great addition to any family! Her adoption fee is $85. Anyone interested in adopting her please email us at email@example.com.
UPDATE:Annabelle is now up for adoption.
She is doing so much better since we first found her a month ago.
