According to a poll of 2,000 Americans, 21% have planned a trip just for the food, and 75% plan where to eat before their vacation. People spend an average of 2.5 hours researching the best places to eat on their trip. The average person travels 484 miles and spends, on average, about $1,000 on a "foodcation."
