Family Pet Hailed a Hero After Defusing Dynamite in a Home Attack

A family in Peru’s dog saved the lives of the entire family after a terrifying attack on their home. After someone threw a stick of dynamite into the family’s home late in the night, the dog spotted the danger and rushed into action.

Security footage shows the stout cocker spaniel mix, weighing only 25 pounds, running down the steps to the explosive, pawing at the dynamite, and chewing through the fuse before the dynamite could go off.

The fuse, miraculously, went out in her mouth, preventing near-disaster as authorities later found that the explosive was the “kind of dynamite used in landmines.”

The pup is safe, but has damage to her vocal cords and can no longer bark. What a heroic act from this little dog.
