Mark your calendars for April 27th, 2025, as Connecticut Children's Foundation, in collaboration with Ball 4 a Cure, hosts the 3rd annual Superhero Sunday at Cove Park in Wethersfield, CT. This exciting community event honors the true superheroes among us, Connecticut Children's patients, their families, and the dedicated team members who care for them. All funds raised from Superhero Sunday will go directly to Connecticut Children's Hospital, supporting their mission to provide care and services to children in need.
Recently on Community Access, we had the pleasure of speaking with Erica Glebocki, Manager of Philanthropic Events at Connecticut Children's, and Luke Reynolds, Director of Ball 4 a Cure. They gave us some more insight into this inspiring event and the impact it has on the community. Originally launched as a 5K, Superhero Sunday has grown into a full-day celebration featuring not only the 5K race, but also a Community Bash, a Kids Mile, and more. It's a fun and meaningful way for patients and families to get involved.
Luke Reynolds also shared more about Ball 4 a Cure, its mission is to support low income families and financially vulnerable patients receiving care at Connecticut Children's. Their ongoing partnership with the hospital ensures more families can access they help they need.
We encourage everyone to participate, donate, or simply spread the word about this incredible event. Every donation helps Connecticut Children's Hospital continue their lifesaving work.
