During a photoshoot with her children, family photographer Allison Burriss discovered the trick to guarantee a smile. Her four- and seven-year-olds weren’t interested in participating, as it was close to bedtime. But she had her husband grab ice cream from the freezer to bribe them between photos.
“We fed them ice cream just to get them to cooperate, and then it just turned into so much fun,” Burriss explains. “My youngest was 13 months at that time, and she just never had ice cream before, and the other two were just laughing.”
