A quick-thinking stranger is being hailed as a hero after saving a six-year-old girl with autism from danger in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin.
During a hectic family move, the child slipped away from her grandmother, running more than two blocks into a busy street. That’s when Weldon Tucker — a man currently experiencing homelessness — stepped into traffic, stopped cars, and safely brought her back.
Her mother, Faith Roberts, is beyond grateful, calling Tucker a hero. But Tucker brushed off the praise, saying he was “happy to help” and didn’t want anything in return.
His selfless act reminds us that heroes can be found in the most unexpected places — and that one person’s kindness can change everything.
