Renee's Adoptable Pet Picks: Meet Poppy!!!!

  • Good with dogs
  • Good with children
  • Housetrained
  • NOT Good with cats

Poppy is a girl that just wants to find her one and only family. Poppy is a bluetick coonhound mix at 16 months old and 41 pounds. One thing to know about Poppy is that she is heart and soul through and through. Poppy does well with most dogs but prefers to be the only dog in a home. She also enjoys the company of children and would welcome them into her inner circle. Unfortunately for cats, she is a bit overzealous with her curiosity and she can be too much for them. Her medium energy level is just right for the average active family. She looks forward to enjoying the company of her family anywhere and everywhere. Her current foster home reports that she is house trained and looking forward to continuing her crate and leash training. She is eager to participate in the process of a consistent training schedule and lots of positive reinforcement training. Although Poppy is house trained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. The right family for Poppy would be a family that can provide her with the proper structure of training, daily exercise and lots of socialization. That family should have the time, desire and motivation to provide her will all the tools that she will need to be a wonderful canine companion. With all her wonderful traits, the next best thing to add to her life, is a loving family. Be the lucky one or ones that get to spoil her every day and bask in all the love she has to offer. The adoption fee for Poppy is $450. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours.
