Renee's Adoptable Pet Picks: Hello Monty!

  • Good with dogs
  • Good with children
  • Housetrained
  • NOT Good with cats

Just one look into the eyes of Monty and you see all the love and wonder he has to offer. His short black coat, sparking brown eyes and shiny black nose gets a Labrador Retriever fan every time. Monty is a 1 year and 1 month old lab mix. He currently is at his full-grown weight of 62 pounds and 7 ounces. Monty enjoys being with children and other dogs. He has had the opportunity to interact with cats and he feels that life would be better for him without a feline companion. Although cats are not his thing, he still will love many opportunities to run around with canine companions and children. Playtime is fun time and Monty looks forward to all of it. At his young age, he has plenty of get- up-and-go with his medium energy level and he does not want to hold back in having fun. Labs tend to be very loving and loyal family companions. Monty would enjoy being part of a family that enjoys walks, hikes, and snuggle time. His crate training is in process but he is proud to let everyone know that he is fully house trained. He does well on a leash already so walks will be a pleasant experience for Monty and his owner. Although Monty is house trained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Are you ready for a loving dog to join your pack, then Monty is happy to be that dog. The adoption fee for Monty is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
