The 5th Annual Bark Twain Bash!

The Mark Twain House & Museum and Kenway’s Cause is presenting the 5th Annual Bark Twain Bash, an evening of celebrating our four-legged friends! Proceeds to benefit Kenway’s Cause and The Mark Twain House & Museum on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm.

The evening includes a cash bar, food by David James Catering and special guests, including CT Lt Governor Susan Bysiewicz and CT Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture Bryan Hurlburt. We will be presenting special awards to special animal friends, and animals themselves. The event is hosted by iHeartMedia’s Renee DiNino and BuzzEngine’s Jacques Lamarre.

Among this year’s honoree’s will be The CT Lab Squad (see below) as they are affectionately known by iHeartMedia and WFSB for their continuous support of community cause’s for both people and pets in Connecticut!

The CT Lab Squad:

· Officer Jay Bodell and K9 Bear from the Middletown Police Department

· Officer Danielle Durette and K9 Indy from the Naugatuck Police Department

· Officer Heather McClelland and Officer Chase of the Groton Police Department

· Officer Richard Simons and Officer Heidi from the Yale New Haven Police Department

· Officer Hannah Yabrosky and K9 Addison from the Torrington Police Department

· Officer JB O’Reilly and Officer Carson from the UConn Police Department

· Sergeant Justin Cheney and Officer Tildy from the UConn Police Department

West Hartford Animal Control Officer Kim Gulino, for her tireless work in helping keep pets safe in her district and for going above and beyond for other municipalities including Hartford!

Natalie Johnson, is an avid supporter, adopter, volunteer, and foster for Kenway’s Cause. Natalie most notably saved Ryker, a starving dog that was left for dead wrapped in a blanket. After many months of rehabilitation, Ryker became a foster-fail and is now a permanent part of her family.

2022 Kid Governor Makhi Ettienne-Modeste for his Animal Advocacy and creating awareness about this through his platform as Kid Governor of Connecticut.

Posthumous Award and thank you to past recipient K9 Harper from the UConn Police Department and K9 Olympics.
