You can help end food insecurity with one bowl of soup.
Tickets for Virtual Empty Bowls are $20 per person and include a delicious bowl of soup and a fresh-baked roll made by La Cocina Catering and a handcrafted bowl, created by a local artist, serving as a reminder of all empty bowls in our community.
Soup and bowls can be picked up Wednesday, March 30 between 2pm and 6pm, at Chrysalis Center’s outdoor patio, located at 255 Homestead Avenue in Hartford, CT. To ensure everyone’s safety, we will have pre-scheduled pick-up times, social distancing, and require masks at pick up.
Proceeds benefit Chrysalis Center’s Food Hub programs. These programs address the issue of food insecurity and lack of access to fresh and nutritious foods and include Freshplace food pantry, Urban Roots hydroponics grow center, Homestead Farmers’ Market, Railway Gardens, and our Food Forest.
