Oktoberfest/Family Day
Please join the CT Draft Horse Rescue for a very special Oktoberfest/Family Fun Day on Sunday, October 17th at Autumn Ridge, the farm of the CDHR (113 Chestnut Hill Rd, East Hampton CT 06424). Just like two draft horses are better than one, they have combined their October Family Day with their annual Oktoberfest celebration into one draft-sized, family-friendly event. Admission is FREE! Come meet the horses of the CDHR from 11am - 3pm. The CDHR is also celebrating its 10th anniversary, so come and share their pride and joy of Autumn Ridge and its equine residents! The CDHR is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of neglected or abused draft horses as well as draft horses headed to slaughter.Their mission is to vet, quarantine, rehabilitate, train and re-home rescued horses with a strict contract for their life-long protection. Since its inception, they have rescued more than 110 horses with the majority placed in forever homes. The CDHR is run strictly on public donations. Fundraisers, such as this one, ensure they have the resources needed to continue caring for the horses at Autumn Ridge.
